Add a Friend's Album to Your Photo Library

Your Photo Library

When you click the Photos tab, you'll see your photo library. All the albums in your account are shown in two sections, "Your Albums" and "Friends' Albums".

At the top right, you'll see a yellow box called "Get Started." These are links to help you order prints and upload photos as quickly as possible.

To the left, you'll see a navigation bar with links to your favorites, your albums, your friends' albums, your projects and your group rooms.

The bar on the right side of the page is the photo toolbar, which contains links to all of the things you can do with your photos: ordering prints, editing photos, making cards, etc.

View Your Photos

You can view your albums and photos from the Photo Library page in your account.

  1. Sign in to your Digital Photo Center account to see the Walmart Digital Photo Center homepage.
  2. Click the Photos tab (at the top of the screen) to view your photo library.

All of the albums in your library are listed on the left. Your own albums are listed first. New albums are colored orange and your friends' albums are gray.

Tip: If you don't have any albums already set up, you can upload digital photos to populate a new one.

  3. Click anywhere on the cover or title of an album to open it. You'll see thumbnail (small) versions of every photo on a single page.
  4. Click the first photo in the album to see a bigger version of it.
  5. Click the "Next" link in the upper right hand corner to see the next photo.
  6. Repeat for all the photos in your album.

Tip: While you're viewing a photo, you can click the orange "Order Prints" button on the right hand side to add prints to your cart without leaving the page.

Picture Quality
In order for the Walmart Digital Photo Center website to load quickly, we display low-resolution images on the web site. These images are sometimes a little darker or fuzzier than the actual photo. When you order prints, we use the high-resolution photo stored with your account to produce a high-quality print.

Rotating Photos
When we develop and scan film from certain types of cameras, the images will all be rotated 180 degrees. To fix this, or to rotate any digital photos, see Rotating Photos.

Add a Friend's Album to Your Photo Library

To add someone else's photos to your list of available albums, they will first need to share their album and then email you an invitation or send you the web page URL for their album.

  1. Open the emailed invitation.
  2. Click the blue underlined album title. If clicking on the album title doesn't work, copy the URL - beginning with "http://" - and paste it into the address field in your browser to open a page titled "Welcome to Walmart Digital Photo Center."
  3. Sign in to your account.
  4. On the Photos page, you will see your friend's album listed.
  5. Click the album to view the included photos.

Tell them what you think! Add comments about your friend's photo in the album's guest book. Click the "Guest Book" link, which is located to the right of the album name. If you don't see this link, the album owner may have de-activated the guest book.

Your friends' albums will stay listed in your account until you choose to remove them, or until the person sharing the album deletes it from his or her account.
